In this update of the ESG ranking, RAEX-Europe updated the assessment of 20 Russian companies from the average rating range. The changes that occurred did not affect group "A". Starting with the publication for April, there are 15 participants in it.
Group "B", on which the main efforts of the agency are now focused, has undergone noticeable changes, having lost several companies that have moved to the lower rating range. Against this background, a significant increase in the assessment of Zarubezhneft JSC is especially noticeable, which showed a high level of disclosure in its financial statements for 2021-2022 and became the first company in our list to be revalued taking into account the data of 2022.
Kinross Gold has been excluded from the published list, instead of which Transmashholding JSC is included in it.
Procter & Gamble, UPM Chudovo, and Henkel companies have been transferred to Group M, information on which has been removed from open sources, and the attention of their successors to the continued development of ESG practices in Russia is questionable. The agency monitors these companies.
RAEX continues updating ESG ratings of representatives of the middle and lower rating ranges. At the same time, as always, any information available to the agency at the time of the assessment will be used, including (but not limited to) non-financial reporting.
The publication of the next update is scheduled for July 1, 2023.
