RAEX Rating Agency has prepared the first update of the ESG ranking of companies based on their reports for 2023 in accordance with the new methodology.
Phosagro, Norilsk Nickel and ALROSA are at the top of the list. The ranking includes 80 companies based in Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. 13 new companies have been added to the list.
PhosAgro is ranked 1st, Nornickel moved up to second place, demonstrating a high level of transparency. Alrosa significantly strengthened its position in the ranking by assessing ESG risks and verifying quantitative environmental indicators. A newcomer among the leaders is Kazakhstan’s national oil company KazMunaiGas, which is ranked 4th. It showed a high level of awareness and data disclosure in the field of sustainable development. Russian grocery retailer X5 significantly moved up in the ranking, coming in at number 6. Polymetal maintained its position in the ranking. En+ has positive dynamics due to detailed information on measures taken to mitigate ESG risks.
RAEX continues to update ESG ratings of companies. The Agency uses any information available at the time of the assessment, including non-financial reports.
The publication of the next update is scheduled for November 1, 2023.
