The RAEX Rating Agency has released the final ESG-ranking for 2024. The total number of participants of the list is 145 companies: 122 from Russia, 17 from Kazakhstan, 2 from Mongolia, 4 from Uzbekistan.
The top companies of ESG-ranking as of 24.12.2025 are as follows: the first place in the list still belongs to Norilsk Nickel, the second - to PhosAgro, closing the top three is Sberbank, the honorable fourth and fifth places are occupied by ALROSA and Severstal respectively.
Two large mining companies of Uzbekistan were evaluated for the first time: Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company - one of the world leaders in gold mining and production, and Uzbekneftegaz, which carries out a full cycle of oil and gas operations: gas and condensate before their transport, storage, processing and sale. The disclosure of companies' non-financial accounts was sufficient to take up 32 and 77 spot in the ranking respectively.
The assessment was carried out according to the updated methodology published in spring 2025. For the formation of the ranking, RAEX analysts studied only public data of companies, taking into account the specifics of their activities. Now, in order to be included in the list, companies need to disclose the required minimum of specific ESG-related data, rather than simply declaring their commitment to sustainable development principles.
At the beginning of next year, RAEX plans to prepare new research in the field of sustainable development for the reporting period 2025. You can find out which thematic launches were launched in 2025 on the RAEX official website in the ESG section.
